Fares & Passes

Fares, Etc:

Exact cash fare is urged. Bus Operators are not allowed to make change or handle money. If a cash fare over payment is necessary, the farebox will issue a Value Card in the amount of cash overpayment.  The Value Card can be used as future fare credit, or can be combined with additional cash to make up the difference for the required fare.  Value Cards are not redeemable for cash and are valid for 90 days after issuance.  Ten-ride pre-paid cards are sold at locations throughout Omaha. Reduced fares are available to students on schooldays until 6:00 PM and all day, 7 days a week, for senior citizens, Medicare card holders and the disabled with the appropriate reduced-fare ID card.  Purchase prepaid 10 Ride Cards and 30 Consecutive Day unlimited Swipe 'N Ride passes.*   NOTE: Non-Express cards are subject to a 25¢ upcharge when used on an Express Route.

If you use a Metro discount ID for students, seniors, disabled, or Medicare, please have the ID ready to show the operator when you pay your fare.
