Metro Advertising Options

Fleet

Metro uses rubber-tired buses and stretch-roofed body on chaise cut-a-ways for the operation of fixed route, express / commuter and Americans with Disabilities Act Complementary Paratransit mass transit services in Omaha, NE (Douglas County). "Turn-key" contracts with contiguous political jurisdictions extend fixed-route and express services to and from their communities. The Cities are: 1) In Nebraska - Ralston, Bellevue, LaVista, (collectively Douglas County), Papillion (Sarpy County); and across the Missouri River 2) in Iowa - Council Bluffs (Pottawattamie County).

Collectively, Metro is responsible for the operation of 42 routes - 32 fixed, 7 express / commuter and 2 downtown circulators. NOTE: Contracted Cities are responsible for the operation of their ADA complementary paratransit services.

Metro operates Bus and Van mass transit services generally:

Weekdays: 4:07 a.m. to 11:51 p.m.
Saturdays: 5:48 a.m. to 10:18 p.m.
Sundays: 5:53 a.m. to 7:45 p.m.

NOTE: Metro does not operate mass transit services: New Years Day; Memorial Day; 4th of July; Labor Day; Thanksgiving Day; or, Christmas Day.

Passenger Waiting Shelters

Metro has Passenger Waiting Shelters installed along key routes. The Shelters meet the industry standard with two panels which are backlit for night time viewing.

There are 470 benches installed along Metro routes throughout the city of Omaha.
